Bannon Drops Bombshell: Trump Wants To Cripple Elite Law Firms

They’re not going to be walking around making four and five, six million bucks a year because he’s going to put those law firms out of business. Let me repeat this. There’s major law firms in Washington, D.C. and … what we are trying to do is put you out of business and bankrupt you.

— Conservative strategist Steve Bannon, in comments given during a recent appearance on Real America’s Voice’s War Room, where he said that the Trump administration sought to punish Biglaw firms, including Covington Burling and Perkins Coie, in order to “cut them off.” Trump later issued another executive order against Paul Weiss, and has since targeted 20 additional leading law firms over their DEI policies.
