Lindsey Graham (R-SC), in comments given during an appearance on Face the Nation, where he spoke in favor of Donald Trump’s executive orders targeting law firms — including Covington & Burling, Perkins Coie, and Paul Weiss — that represented the president’s past legal adversaries. “I think these law firms were pushing legal theories that, to me, were designed for political outcomes more than legal outcomes,” he said, according to the show’s transcript. “[I]t was politically motivated, and everybody with their fingerprints on it, I hope they pay a price.”
