Marco Rubio Has More In Common With A Biglaw Associate Than You May Think

Last week’s meeting between the Trump administration and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy may have been disastrous for foreign affairs but hey! it did produce some dank memes. The subject of most of the humor is Secretary of State Marco Rubio. From the images of the ill-fated meeting, Rubio looks like he’s trying to crawl into the couch to escape the complete collapse of American hegemony. And people have *thoughts.*

Legal folks got in on the action too. Rubio started his political career shortly after he graduated from law school (University of Miami) but that doesn’t mean he can’t embody the energy of a grizzled Biglaw associate. It’s giving big “you suddenly realize the price you’re really paying for the job you thought you wanted” energy.

Let’s not leave out the in-house folks! They’re familiar with that “oh my god, WHAT are they doing” sort of sinking feeling.

Hey, if you can’t laugh at the end of the American experience, what can you do?
